Job overview

The Maternity department at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM) are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to work within our department.

Joining a small but established ward clerk team you will provide rota cover across a 7 day week service supporting the labour ward, postnatal ward, triage and midwifery lead unit. No two days are the same and the pace and turnover of work can be fast so we are seeking someone who is adaptable, flexible and who can live out the Trust values for our women and families.

Main duties of the job

To work as a team member within the work environment carrying out assigned tasks involving the indirect care of the patients, to ensure effective management of the department on a day to day basis.

Working for our organisation

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five
hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
