There is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Radiographer to work within the Radiology team at Maidstone, CDC Fordcombe and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals, Kent. The Trust is located in one of the most pleasant parts of Kent. Maidstone is the County Town of Kent and Tunbridge Wells is a Regency spa town, both with excellent shopping and facilities. The hospitals are set on the outskirts of the towns, adjacent to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a short drive from sandy beaches.

This is a new post for the Radiology Department which will involve mentoring, educating and developing our radiographers. You will also be expected to support the apprentices and students rotating through our hospitals. There are 2 posts, one based in our hospital at Maidstone and one in Tunbridge Wells. Both posts are 22.5 hours per week on a 1 year fixed term contract. 

You must enjoy teaching and want to help develop the radiography workforce.

New members of staff will find themselves welcomed into a vibrant and friendly department that has an attitude of inclusivity.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake a PG Cert in Education

The post holder will

  • Lead on design and delivery of Radiographer induction/probation
  • Be responsible for ensuring ongoing support and development for advanced practitioners/radiographers/radiographic apprentices and radiography students in clinical practice
  • Maintain a highly visible presence for the radiology team
  • Liaise with Workforce Lead and HEI staff to ensure a quality environment is provided for radiographers / radiographic apprentices and students
