An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Patient Access team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as a Harm Review Manager.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual to work full-time within our team. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a hospital setting working with patient pathways and have good knowledge of the RTT standards and Access Policy.  

An outstanding communicator, the successful applicant will be able to deal confidently with a wide range of service users, including the Doctors, General Managers, GP's and other and staff within the organisation at all levels.

Working with the Patient Access Team, validating patient’s pathways ensuring Harm Reviews are completed in a timely manner and that they are concise and accurate.  The ability to identify themes and ensure learning and training programs are implemented.  Co-ordinate and assist with the data inputting for monitoring and projecting performance.

Using internal systems to carry out validation and of inpatient and outpatient waiting lists to ensure the waiting list policy is being adhered to and to ensure that all patient pathway data is accurate. 

To attend and lead on the weekly Harm Review meetings. Working closely with the Business Information Department to ensure accurate and timely information is circulated to the directorate and Trust’s management team. Identify gaps, investigate, collect, and validate all aspects of the harm review process.

Skills

  • Able to demonstrate practical skills to others.
  • IT and computer literacy – including knowledge of Patient Management Systems and tracking system to manage patients on the waiting list. (

Experience/Knowledge

  • Good level of understanding of the Government’s access targets for 18 weeks RTT.
  • Organisation skills and ability to prioritise work under pressure.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
  • Customer care skills and experience.
  • Experience of data collection, analysis, presentation and report writing.

  • Experience of Allscripts and RTTr.
  • Previous experience of working in NHS setting.
  • Has knowledge of audit and research methodology.
