This role is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of a range of learning and development interventions across the organisation for statutory and mandatory training, helping to improve organisational culture in line with our PRIDE values and MTW Leadership Behaviours and promoting Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as the employer of choice. The post holder will work closely with Divisions in relation to improving statutory mandatory training provision and compliance and other associated engagement activities.
Main duties of the job
- To support implementation of an annual programme of Statutory and Mandatory training
- Work closely with the Learning Technologist to ensure the integrity of data in MTW Learning
- Engage and work with relevant staff across the Trust to analyse their compliance data and design fit for purpose solutions to meet their requirements and KPIs
- Develop organisational initiatives in collaboration with colleagues relating to Trust culture and staff engagement with statutory and mandatory training
- Provide leadership to the Learning Administrators, providing coaching and mentoring support when required
- Work with HR colleagues to identify interventions required to support Managers in business operations and performance management related to Statutory and Mandatory training activities
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to ensure a schedule of training is provided that is sufficient to meet demand and fit for purpose
- Monitor the performance of external suppliers commissioned to provide statutory and mandatory training to ensure they are meeting contractual requirements

It focusses on planned care and has two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day care beds, diagnostic services including X-ray, MRI, CT and endoscopy, and a number of consultation and treatment rooms.

- Experience of working with performance related data, including the presentation of this information to senior internal stakeholders
- Experience of leading teams

Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to manipulate complex data and present this in a format that meets the needs of multiple audiences
- Microsoft Excel skills
Desirable criteria
- Ability to design learning pathways that meet the needs of internal stakeholders and national guidance
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- A thorough understanding of the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) and how this impacts an NHS Trust
- An understanding of the differences between statutory and mandatory training and the legislation that may relate to this
Desirable criteria
- An understanding of Learning Management Systems and the opportunities and limitations that they provide
