Breast Medical Secretary

Job overview

To work as a Medical Secretary within the Breast department, including diary management, taking lead responsibility  the Breast consultants within the team. Provide support to associated medical team typing and distributing clinic notes, discharge summaries and following up further appointments and tests as required.  To be proficient in knowledge and use of medical terminology and IT.

You will be working as part of a team of Breast secretary's, liaising with the booking teams regarding patient queries. 

Please note that we are a cross site trust and so you may be required to work at both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells (Pembury) hospital. 

Main duties of the job

Organise the day to day running of the office, including opening the post or other enquiries and actioning as necessary, independently of, or with the guidance of one of the breast Consultants.

The  team consists of  Consultants, Registrars ,SHO and FY1s. There are also CNSs, who work cross site between Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospital.

Qualifications
