Bank Administration/Reception

Band 3

Trosolwg o'r swydd

To ensure we can deliver the best service to our community we are currently looking for reliable, organised and efficient people to provide bank cover for a variety of administration roles ranging from Receptionist’s, Ward Clerk’s and Administrators to Medical Secretaries, IT and Procurement Specialist (to name a few) who can support the Trust on a temporary basis within both our Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals. The skill base we are looking for is very varied depending on the role you are filing but having a good level of customer service and strong communication skills is key within all of the roles as many of the bank positions will require you to interact with patients and/or relatives.  Experience in front of house positions, audio typing, secretarial and admin duties are essential and duties involving being highly accurate in collecting, investigating, verifying and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data is also an important part of most roles.  Due to the nature of the documents you will be provided access to an understanding of GDPR is an advantage but not essential as training would be provided. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would also be an advantage. Experience in using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel is essential, as is ability to use email. Candidates must be willing to learn new IT systems as required and have good typing skills.

We are a Trust that is committed to being a great place to work and we have recently won a silver award from Kent and Medway Healthy Workplace Programme and we have also been awarded ‘Practice Status’ for the Improving Working Lives standard, this means that all staff are entitled to work in an organisation that is investing in more flexible, supportive and family friendly working arrangements to improve diversity and develop staff skills.  As a MTW staff member you will also have access to a range of benefits and discount schemes (NHS Staff Discounts; Blue Light Scheme; Gym Memberships).

Our bank work opportunities are ideal for so many office professionals that are just looking for that extra flexibility; you could be tired of a long commute to work, a parent returning to the workplace or a person that is looking to retire from a full time work but still wants to work some hours.

Please note this work is bank only on an ‘as and when required’ basis so the work is not guaranteed.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.

We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
