Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Community Child Health.  You will act as first point of contact on behalf of all Heads of Therapies and key point of contact for the therapists.  Input information correctly on the Healthroster system to reflect annual leave, sick leave study leave etc., ensuring compliance with Trust guidelines and timescales.  Arrange and attend meetings, distributing  all necessary supporting paperwork and take minutes.  Arrange induction and training for new therapists as and when necessary.  Maintain diaries for all Heads of Therapies. Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets as necessary. Organise own work schedule and adapt the schedule as required to meet agreed timescales.

Buckland Hospital is a community hospital based in Dover.  You will work in a friendly admin office in the designated Children's Assessment Centre, working along side the Community Child Health secretaries and admin support team.   

Main duties of the job

Input accurate information on to Healthroster system.  Attend and take minutes of weekly meeting.  Act as first point of contact to Therapy Managers and therapists. Arrange induction for new starters. Order supplies / training courses as necessary. 

Work as a member of the Community Child Health admin team to provide high quality administration to support the Heads of Therapies as well as Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists.  Input accurate information on to Healthroster system. Support the Heads of Therapies in arranging meetings and taking accurate minutes.  Monitor emails and action / deal with enquiries in a timely manner.  Liaise with other members of Community Child Health / admin team when necessary, sharing accurate information.
