Job overview

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for Open Dialogue Practitioner to facilitate the on-going development of the Peer Supported Open Dialogue service (POD) within KMPT, the only stand-alone NHS Open Dialogue service in the UK.

 Within this position, you will participate in promoting POD and co-facilitate training sessions for others. Your responsibilities will involve working alongside pod-trained staff and trainees, supporting service users and their social networks from crisis to recovery, and integrating this new care model throughout KMPT. 

Main duties of the job

You will be a trained and registered mental health worker  (nurse, OT, therapist) who is currently trained in, or participating in open dialogue training. This OD training must be recognised by KMPT.  You will have a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience or have experience in working within an Open Dialogue team, working alongside service users and their social networks in crisis, as well as understanding the importance of peer-supported work.  You will ideally have experience of prioritising casework and allocation /delegation of tasks to others. Experience of liaising with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to organisations. Awareness of clinical governance and its relationship to clinical effectiveness patient safety and patient experience.

You will be willing to co-facilitate training of POD

 

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
