Working as the Resourcing Assistant Apprentice you will be the first point of contact within the Resourcing team and representing the Trust in all internal and external recruitment correspondence.

You will assist and support the Resourcing Manager and the team of Resourcing Advisors and Resourcing Team Leaders in providing the Trust with an excellent, proactive recruitment service.

Establishing an effective and efficient comprehensive Resourcing administration and advice to all service users will be top priority, ensuring that the service provided meets agreed quality standards.

Main duties of the job

  • Being the first point of contact for all resourcing correspondence, communicating via various means such as telephone and e-mail
  • Compiling and organising incoming recruitment paperwork from recruiting managers electronically
  • Taking phone calls daily from the People and Culture service desk
  • Collecting and delivering daily post and distributing to the relevant areas
  • Completing reception duties, answering the phone, email ticket requests and responding to all correspondence in a professional manner
  • Responding appropriately, producing correspondence, to internal and external queries.
  • Ensuring accurate data input on all recruitment systems used within the Resourcing Team
  • Working towards and achieving all Resourcing KPI’s and supporting team members while doing so
  • Supporting the administration of the annual junior doctor intake
  • On occasion attending and support recruitment events when required
  • Supporting gaining Pre-employment clearances for all candidates who have been offered positions within the Trust
  • Using available technology optimal levels e.g. producing mail merge letters, interview timetables, letters and contracts of employment
  • Provide information and respond to enquiries from staff, managers and other departments and external agencies in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Keeping up to date with employment law, NHS Employers Checking Standards and CQC
  • Carry out any other tasks commensurate with the grade
