Salary: Band 5  £29,970 - £36,483 (With Annex 21 training salary applied for 2 years)

We are recruiting for a Trainee Clinical Outreach Librarian who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to

You could be making a real difference to the quality of person-centred care on the Isle of Wight through enabling staff and learners access
evidence for clinical and managerial decision making whilst studying for a Diploma or Degree in Library and Information.

We are looking to support the development and education of an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, a customer focused approach that shares our organisational values.

You will assist the Knowledge & Library Services Manager (KLSM) facilitate the use of knowledge and information services for staff and learners across the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust to support their work, research, and learning, ensuring all users have access to the right evidence, in the right place, at the right time.

You will have a minimum of a Level 3 (A-Level equivalent) qualification that meets the entry criteria to undertake an appropriate library qualification whilst developing into the role of a Clinical Outreach Librarian.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will assist the KLSM across both Isle of Wight and Portsmouth sites in providing, developing, and promoting library and
knowledge services in support of education and research, continuous professional development (CPD) and the practice of evidence-based clinical and managerial decision making.
