- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients
- To share with colleagues’ responsibility for day-to-day management of Respiratory & General Medicine services with a commitment to the acute medical 1 in 11 on call rota
- Teaching and training of junior staff
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME)

Qualifications
Meini prawf hanfodol
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Completion of a minimum of 12 years' medical work since obtaining primary medical qualification.
- Membership with the relevant Royal College for the speciality or equivalent.
- GMC Registration and license to practice.
Experience & Skills

- Should have completed a recognised training programme in General and Respiratory medicine.
- Must be able to demonstrate a Hight level of clinical experience and competence in Respiratory Medicine.
- Knowledge of current trends in speciality.
- IT skills.
Teaching

- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, post-graduates and junior medical staff.
Audit & Research

- Evidence of participation in clinical audit relevant to specialty.
