About the Role
As a Recruitment Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of HUC’s recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and supporting the business to deliver recruitment excellence. Working closely with our People and Recruitment teams, you'll act as the vital link between recruiters and onboarding coordinators, contributing to high-impact recruitment initiatives.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a customer-focused service, responding to queries and coordinating key recruitment activities.
- Organize interviews, prepare schedules, and ensure smooth communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Act as the administrator for our applicant tracking system (ATS), resolving system issues and driving efficiency.
- Deliver insightful recruitment reports to help the team achieve key performance indicators.
- Support recruitment campaigns, including event logistics and stakeholder engagement.
- Play an active role in streamlining processes and improving the candidate experience.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Providing a customer-focused service to applicants and managers, responding promptly to queries received through the Recruitment inbox and fielding others appropriately.
Supporting the team (clinical and non clinical) with campaign activities e.g. event logistics including assessment sessions, stakeholder engagement
Arranging interviews, liaising with line managers and candidates; booking rooms, preparing interview schedules and issuing supporting paperwork and documentation.
Notifying unsuccessful candidates by e-mail at the conclusion of each campaign, dealing with requests for interview feedback and providing administrative support to ensure the successful conclusion of recruitment
Administrator for the applicant tracking system. To escalate and resolve system issues with the service provider.
Liaise with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure that all paperwork is in place for each vacancy.
Producing weekly insights into recruitment campaigns and monthly reports for Business Partners and Workforce Committee reports where appropriate
Provide appropriate cover for team members during holidays and absences
Willingness to travel to external stakeholder events and HUC sites as needed.
Commitment to upholding HUC’s values and mission in all recruitment activities.
Any other task as required in line with the business
As with all roles within HUC the postholder will be required to support with critical incident cover is required. This could include having access to records and patient data to enable comfort calling or similar duties.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to at least GCSE Level or Equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in an administration in a HR (people team) or recruitment environment.
- Experience in a client-facing or customer service position. Experience managing high volumes of recruitment tasks within tight deadlines.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a busy in-house recruitment environment.
- Experience of working in healthcare recruitment. Previous experience of using TRAC (ATS) and NHS Jobs systems
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a sensitive manner.
- Able to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable criteria
- Familiarity with creating reports and analysing recruitment metrics.
