West Herts is seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 8C Associate Director of Allied Health Professionals to join our team and lead our organisation towards a future of excellence.

Main duties of the job

In this high-impact role, you will:

Develop Strategic Vision:Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of AHP services, aligning them with national and local healthcare priorities and ensuring a patient-centered approach.

Drive Service Improvement: Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance AHP service delivery and patient outcomes, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach to care.

Champion Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, promoting best practices and innovation across all AHP departments. 

Empower Leadership: Empower and support AHP department leads by providing them with the resources and knowledge necessary to achieve their goals and enhance their professional development.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analysis to identify areas for improvement in service delivery, patient experience, and staff satisfaction, and develop evidence-based solutions to enhance AHP contributions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the hospital, including executives, department heads, medical staff, and external partners, to ensure effective collaboration and a unified approach to patient care.

Qualifications:

Registered Allied Health Professional with experience of working at Band 8A or above.

Masters level qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience. 

Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within AHP services in a healthcare setting.

Proven track record of successful service development and improvement initiatives.

A deep understanding of healthcare management principles and AHP service delivery.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
