Job overview
We are recruiting for a Administration Manager-Maternity who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will work collaboratively with clinicians to ensure day to day management of outpatient activity.
The post holder will be responsible for administrative support provided within maternity services.
You will ensure smooth running of the office by carrying out a range of administrative tasks and overseeing the management of administrative tasks within the team.
This will involve the ongoing support of the clinical midwifery teams and their administration teams, establishing common systems and procedures that are both efficient and effective.

Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Maternity Administration Manager within Women and Children's Division.
The Maternity Administration Manager will be responsible for the management of administrative teams within the maternity service dealing with recruitment, training, development, discipline and appraisal of these staff. The post holder must apply a high degree of confidentiality to all of their work.

Essential criteria
- GCSE’s or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing development
Desirable criteria
- Degree or equivalent
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Senior secretary/PA and administrator within the NHS or Health Care setting
- Ability to modify, structure, maintain and present data and information using, Microsoft, Word and Excel.
- Secretarial experience relevant to specialty.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of undertaking appraisals and managing staff sickness/absence.
- Ability to cope in stressful situations.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience of Patient Administration (Lorenzo, CMiS etc).

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
