We are recruiting Cancer Clinical Care Coordinato to work within the Nurse Specialist team who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.  

As part of a 2-year Pilot, the Macmillan Cancer Care Coordinator (MCCC) will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialists in Skin and Lung cancers to ensuring a safe and efficient service for patients.

The MCCC will function at a higher competency level with responsibility for actively participating and being part of the multidisciplinary team.

You will provide a seamless service to patients with proximal supervision from the tumour specific Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). The MCCC will have the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute towards the provision of providing a high standard of evidence-based care, supporting the management and supervision of patients throughout their treatment pathway.

It is anticipated that this role will continue to develop through the acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competencies to be determined within the clinical team with the focus on patient needs.

ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.

We welcome applications from those who would relish the opportunity to be part of new and developing cancer service, building on the excellent reputation, research and patient experience the Cancer Centre already delivers.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.

  • Knowledge of relevant cancer treatments, interventions, and terminology
  • Awareness of national cancer strategies and policies

Qualifications / Training

  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade A-C or equivalent
  • NVQ4 or NVQ3 plus training to diploma level equivalent, or equivalent through short courses
  • Oncology experience/training or experience/training in long term Health Conditions
