Job overview

The role is to assist the direct multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of holistic person centered care to the people, their families and other professionals who access the service. This will involve reception work, co-ordinating of visitors, safe and effective administration tasks, financial responsibilities, supporting the frontline staff with supplies and supervision of contractors.

 

The candidate would also be expected to assist the nursing staff with promoting and maintaining safety of service user and staff.  The candidate would need to be able to complete a module 4/5 respect course and would be expected to respond to incidents on the unit.

 

The candidate will be responsible, in collaboration with the nursing management team for the safe and effective rostering of staff.  This includes, daily roster adjustments and updates.  Sourcing temporary staffing to ensure that the unit operates safe staffing levels.  Liaising with the bank bureau to arrange training/inductions/etc… Ensuring that sickness, A/L, training and other unavailability’s are accurately recorded onto the system.

Person specification

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • Good level of education/GCSE incl. English Language
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Good IT Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of knowledge in administration
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology in order to successfully take notes of clinical review meetings and subsequent clinical record accuracy
  • Knowledge and experience in liaising with other departments within the organisation to obtain resources required for effective service delivery
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent)
