We are looking for a full time Junior Sister or Junior Charge Nurse to join our friendly team.  You will be working alongside a variety of Health Care Professionals to enhance patient experience and really make a difference to every one of our patients' journey.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be a Nurse Registrant (NMC), with proven current experience in a hospital ward setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high quality patient care by providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership.  To take charge of the department in the absence of the Sister and provide support and guidance to all staff. 

 The role of Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse is varied and provides an opportunity to develop, maintain and enhance clinical skills in inpatient setting, whilst working alongside a range of multi-disciplinary teams.

  • With support implement training programmes to expand the practice of all staff to enhance patient care.
  • To demonstrate effectiveness as a role model and clinical supervisor.

  • To demonstrate expertise within sphere of practice.To ensure complaints within the sphere of responsibility are managed in a timely manner. In the absence of the Sister report actions taken to minimise risks.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RGN
  • Teaching qualification or course relevant to speciality or studying towards
  • Evidence of relevant post registration and training
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant Diploma/Degree or equivalent
  • A1 award or equivalent
