Our cultural ambition is to have a culture that places people at the heart of all we do, where we all belong, and where learning, improvement and excellence thrive.

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 or 6 physiotherapist to join our supportive and friendly team, based in Winchester.

We are able to combine our current Band 6 rotational posts at Winchester and Basingstoke so you can rotate across both sites. Within the acute teams at RHCH and BNHH we cover over 800 beds and provide Band 6 rotations in the following specialities:

  1. Intensive Care, General Surgery
  2. Women's Health and Cardiology
  3. General Medicine (Respiratory/ Gastro/ Endocrine)
  4. Front Door (Acute Assessment Unit/ Emergency Department)
  5. Elderly Care

If you are not ready for a Band 6 post we would consider offering a development post from Band 5 to 6. You can contact us to discuss this or it can be discussed in interview.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist at HHFT you can expect to receive regular and robust supervision by the Band 7 Clinical Lead, to lead on the service improvement projects, to supervise a Band 5 and Therapy Assistant colleagues and to provide clinical support and guidance to Therapy Students from our partner Universities. Working for our organisation

Our friendly acute therapy teams are dedicated, motivated and holds the patient at the centre of everything that we do. Our team is well established and has a wealth of clinical experience to support staff in their ongoing learning and development. As a team with a real "family feel", we are supportive, encouraging, and caring.  If you feel like you would like to join us, we would love to hear from you.
