Main duties of the job

The Head & Neck Department operates across Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital, the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Andover War Memorial Hospital and other satellite clinics. There are five specialties within Head & Neck with over 150 staff. Surgical procedures are booked under ENT, Ophthalmology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by a Surgical Bookings Team made up of 7 staff. These procedures are booked across the three hospital sites. This role would manage the Surgical Bookings Team for Head & Neck and be closely supported by the Operational Service Lead.

The post holder would liaise across the admin and clinical teams in order to ensure streamlined surgical booking processes occur within the team and that our theatre lists are used efficiently to manage our patient waiting lists. The post holder would spend most their time split between Basingstoke and Winchester hospital, with travel to other sites when required.
