Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Project Management Team in the NIHR Clinical Research Facility. You will join a team of enthusiastic individuals who support the delivery of clinical research within the facility. You will provide support for clinical trials within the facility and the team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support including filing, typing, fielding telephone calls and arranging meeting dates, times and venues as directed by management.
- Act as the first telephone contact for enquiries about trials/research and be confident to provide non-clinical advice to patients/clients/relatives.
- Assist with the Clinical Research Facility administration of research studies.
- You will have experience and understanding of working with Microsoft applications
- Clear and polite verbal communication
- Positive attitude and excellent organisational skills

Qualifications / training required
Essential criteria
- Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of experience
Previous or relevant experience necessary
Essential criteria
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
- Experience as an administrative assistant in a customer-focused environment.
Desirable criteria
- Clinical research experience

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
