UPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.  It was formed to provide dispensing and other professional services to outpatients of the Trust.  It also provides a range of over-the-counter medicines and pharmacy services for hospital staff, outpatients and visitors.

You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment working within a large team and providing a patient-centred service, whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance. - To assist the Senior  Management team  in the service provision of the  services, maintaining a high standard of service in accordance with legislation and recognised good practice.

-To diagnose and rectify faults within the robot as well as regular maintenance to offer an efficient automated picking system .

- Responsible for good stock control, including ordering of stock, receipting deliveries, dealing with the relevant paperwork, stock rotation, checking expiry dates, putting stock on shelves and security of stock. Stock up the robot, as and when necessary, to ensure this continues to run effectively.

- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with members of the pharmacy team, hospital staff and patients to ensure a seamless medicines management process.

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A* to C including mathematics or equivalent

Previous or relevant experience necessary
