Job overview
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join our friendly and busy Child Health Information Service, to provide administrative support, for a fixed term of 1 year.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator with Excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess organizational and IT literacy skills.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to prioritise their own workload and work unsupervised. The candidate should have the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
An essential part of the role is quality data entry, analysing and validation of data.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be one of a team of CHIS team members who manage Child Health Information within the Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas, and work to provide high quality child health administration, data support and services for health care professionals within NHS England and NHS Improvement – Thames Valley, provider services, GP practices, public health agencies, other outside agencies, and parents.
The post requires inputting data and carrying out crucial data quality checks that support the Child Health service outputs and following systems that promote & support the continued development and improvement of data quality across Child Health services.

- Knowledge of more than one computer system
- Good understanding of the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Experience of working within a Child Health information setting within the NHS
- Experience of data inputting and data quality work
- Experience of health service information systems and datasets

- Experience in Microsoft Office packages Excel and Word with intermediate keyboard skills
