Job overview

We are looking for full and part time Radiology Assistant's to work as part of the Radiology team, assisting the Radiology Consultants, sonographers and radiographers and caring for patients undergoing radiology imaging procedures.

Main duties of the job

This key role involves assisting patients in preparation and during their imaging procedures, helping them to change, preparing rooms, organising patient lists and cannulation. You will rotate through the all modalities in the Radiology department including X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology and will work closely with Radiologists, radiographers, nurses and sonographers.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent Qualification in English and Mathematics
Desirable criteria
  • First Aid/ basic life support
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Healthcare

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a busy customer environment
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of working as part of a team

Skills and ability

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of organisational skills
  • Good general health to meet the physical demands of the post
