You will support the Clinical Lead in the leadership and management for the provision of care within the unit, you will have the opportunity to be part of the leadership pathway, providing a visible leadership presence. You will ensure high standards of evidence based clinical care are continuously achieved and monitored through effective communication with different members of the multi-disciplinary team.

CDU is the day assessment unit on G floor, CDU has elective procedures and emergency admissions from ED and GP’s, oncology treatments and endocrine testing are carried out during the week. Blood clinics run Monday to Friday. We have close working links with the paediatric area of ED, Childrens outpatients, the inpatient unit and CHAT team.

 

Main duties of the job

  • Enthusiastic and passionate registered Nurses with experience who are eager to develop your own clinical practice, knowledge and skills
  • Staff who are able to (or willing to learn) to act as a role model for colleagues and student nurses within our team
  • Nurses who are able to support the team to ensure that clinical services are delivered to a high standard.
  • Registered Nurses who are able to provide holistic care for patient and their families when they are at their most vulnerable
