We have an exciting opportunity for a full time band 3 Therapy Assistant to become part of a dynamic Orthopaedic Therapy team at Basingstoke Hospital.
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and enthusiastic who is seeking an opportunity to implement and progress rehabilitation programmes to ward based patients. Your role will involve working alongside both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the patient pathway from admission to discharge to provide a safe and timely discharge from hospital.
You can expect to receive a robust induction and competency training programme. This will be further developed through regular training and supervision sessions with senior members of the team.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a high standard of therapy assistant service to ward based patients.
- To work with the Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, in the implementation and progression of rehabilitation programmes.
- To enable patients to achieve their optimum level of independence in mobility and activities of daily living on the Orthopaedic wards
- To be responsible for the continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
- The post holder will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting with specified duties and to take responsibility for planning his/her own work duties.
