Job overview
We are looking for a speciality doctor to join the anaesthetic team in Ysbyty Gwynedd, North Wales. This department has individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and a family feel, we like to think that all are welcome here. Despite being a smallish District General Hospital we have a busy and varied workload, which peaks in the holiday seasons due to the influx of visitors to our beautiful National Park. It is important to us that the successful candidate is a great team-player and confident in their anaesthetic skills, as they will be a key member of the overnight on-call team.
Main duties of the job
This is a full time post with out of hours commitments. Remuneration will be commensurate with individuals’ experience. The job plan is negotiable, depending on individual’s interests and service requirements.
Specialty Doctor duties link with trainee and clinical fellow duties to provide a broad service.
As an example a typical job plan will include:
- On-call commitment in anaesthesia/critical care/obstetrics depending on the candidate’s competencies.
- Varied daytime work to encompass a range of clinical experience
- Professional development and teaching supported by 2 SPAs
