Registered Nurse (General)

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is currently recruiting caring, dedicated Registered Nurses to work at Gloucester Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals. Working as part of our temporary staff bank offers a flexible way of working, with both ad hoc and longer, full-time bookings available. You could work shifts or days to suit your lifestyle. You can always depend on a steady supply of work and can choose when and where you want to work. Opportunities to work on our wards providing excellent patient care, or even opportunities to provide specialist care is also available.

Main duties of the job

Join either a General Ward, or specialist location: ITU, ED, AMU (Gloucester) SCBU, Maternity Post Preceptorship and all RMN, please specify your preference in your application form.

Gloucestershire Hospitals have just launched new competitive Bank rates

  • General Wards: Day rate £18.95 - £23.53 per hour, Night and Saturday £24.63 - £30.59 per hour, Sunday and Bank Holiday £30.32 - £37.65 per hour

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Registered Nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Must have 6 months acute ward experience which must be within the last 6 months.
  • A willingness to develop knowledge and skill is essential
  • An ability to perform clinical skills with dexterity
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, policy and procedure
  • An understanding of evidence based practice
  • IT skills which can be built upon to incorporate the use of hospital administration,
    information and training systems
  •  Organisation and time management skills
