As a hospital Trust we are currently involved in over 100 clinical trials and studies, whilst also providing acute elective and specialist services to a population of over 620,000.

By joining Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust new colleagues can look forward to a warm welcome and a future full of opportunities and support.

Job overview

The Resourcing Team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a fast paced, dynamic team responsible for recruiting all non-medical staff at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital to ensure wards and departments are fully staffed.

In the last year we have recruited over 2250 members of staff Trustwide and we are keen to continue developing our service to streamline our processes and provide the best experience possible for candidates and managers alike.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can provide senior support within our busy Resourcing service, leading our team of Band 3s within our International and General Recruitment workstreams, whilst also working collaboratively with our Onboarding team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we develop and grow in line with the Trust’s vision for the future and an evolving workforce!

The role of Resourcing Advisor involves managing a variable and independent workload that can involve prioritisation of tasks and working to important deadlines and KPIs. As the main part of the role, Resourcing Advisors are essentially responsible for providing advice and additional senior support within the Resourcing service, coordination of yearly cohort planning, monitoring compliance across pre-employment checks (right to work, DBS, Medical Clearance and references) and management of more complex Recruitment processes to ensure efficiency & accuracy.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with a drive to provide support and direction to the Administrators and Assistants within their workstream, confidence to challenge or escalate against policies and procedures, excellent organisation skills and a commitment to working accuracy and efficiently in a busy environment. Exemplary customer service skills along with a clear and concise communication manner both on the telephone and in writing are also essential.

An understanding of and experience working within the Recruitment life cycle is essential, while NHS specific experience or a thorough understanding of Recruitment within a Healthcare setting is preferable.

Computer literacy is essential as we use a number of IT systems such as Trac jobs & ESR to advertise jobs and process candidates, alongside frequent use of Microsoft Office and Teams.

If you feel you have the skill, desire and experience required to make a difference, we would to hear from you!

Working for our organisation

Our Resourcing Team consists of Resourcing Advisors, Administrators and Assistants within 3 workstreams; General Recruitment, International Recruitment and Onboarding, but providing service wide support under the direction of the Resourcing Team Leader and Head of Resourcing.

Our team are passionate about providing a positive first point of contact experience to recruiting managers, and new starters joining Gloucestershire Hospitals. This role will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the underlying processes involved in the end to end recruitment cycle, while at the same time developing a sound knowledge of, and building valuable relationships with, a variety of departments and stakeholders across the Trust.
