Job overview
To work within the SystmOne Team ensuring safe, secure and appropriate access control to National and Local systems to ensure electronic records are kept safe and confidential upholding the NHS Care Records Guarantee. Assist in organisation compliance with legislation and national policy in relation to access management for applications such as Choose and Book, Summary Care Record, and Trusts Smartcard enabled systems. To provide support to all Systmone users.
Main duties of the job
- To actively support the identification of risks and ensure that any identified risks are investigated and reported as per Trust Policy.
- Ensure all staff that need to access to Smartcard enabled systems and applications are identity checked to EGIF Level 3 conforming to National Policy and are issued an appropriately configured Smartcard in order to access systems and applications to support staff in providing efficient patient care, ensuring a robust and secure audit trail is maintained.
- To develop knowledge around complex information which impacts on all staff in relation to RA, Position Based Access Control (PBAC), Workgroups, Legitimate Relationships and Information Governance policies.
- Provide Registration Authority support throughout the Trust
- Provide first line support to users regarding access and issues in relation to Smartcard enabled systems and applications
- Ability to work with limited supervision, planning and executing tasks efficiently, often against tight deadlines and with competing priorities.
- Ability to coordinate planned work load with ad-hoc tasks, assessing agreeing and adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines
- Responsible for the monitoring of RA stock levels and reordering as required.
- Run reports to support the requirements of the local and national RA policies and the IG tool kit

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
