Fundraising Officer - Corporate

Non AFC

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen to join our wonderful fundraising team as a Fundraising Officer – Corporate, based at our Fair Havens Hospice, located near beautiful Priory Park in Southend on Sea, Essex.

This role is crucial in supporting the charity, specialising in the cultivation of corporate relationships within the areas Havens Hospices serve, maximising opportunities to develop new business across all areas of fundraising.   This role will be responsible for the implementation of effective programmes of engagement and stewardship for corporate supporters, maximising income, and lifetime value, identifying high-net-worth corporate donors.

Although this role is generally spread across Monday to Friday, there is a requirement that the post-holder be available to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as and when required.

Some agile working options may be considered after successful completion of probation; however, this is predominantly an office and community-based role.

The post holder would need to hold a full and clean UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

We regret that Havens Hospices is unable to offer any type of job sponsorship.

Main duties of the job

This role will work closely with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to support the development of strategy, budgets, and plans across the department, managing all corporate donor relationships, consistently delivering an excellent experience for our amazing supporters.

Working for our organisation

At Havens Hospices, we care for children, young people and adults with complex or incurable conditions. Our specialist Care Teams can support them and their family living throughout illness, death and bereavement in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

Working at Havens Hospices allows you to give the gift of time to patients and families, creating memories. Although you may not be giving direct care to our patients, your contribution will have an immediate effect on our care services.

In return for your expertise and passion, you will receive a competitive salary package, and most of all, by making the most of every day you work at Havens Hospices you’ll be helping us continue ‘Making every day count’ for those who need us most.

At Havens Hospices we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our employees and patients and expect all colleagues to share this commitment.

We value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
