Job overview
This role supports with the establishment and management of any new shops whilst supporting the trading service area with new e-commerce initiatives.
This is a mobile role and there is a requirement to travel amongst various shops across Essex, so a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
This role will be be responsible for developing sales, through merchandising, pricing, events and analysis of performance.
There is a requirement to space plan shop floor areas and apply company best practice for displays, merchandising, and window dressing, whilst establishing a strong team.

- To effectively manage the day to day running of the shop staff and volunteers
- To manage stock, optimise profit and maximize sales, retaining oversight for all transactions taken
- To be aware of, and help the store to hit all sales targets, providing effective leadership to encourage the team to maximise potential

Education
Essential criteria
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English, or demonstrable good standard of literacy and numeracy skills
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience in working in a retail environment
- Retail experience either in the commercial or charity sectors.
- Experience of dealing with the public face to face and over the telephone.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
- Good level of IT skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint.
