Job overview
Based at Fair Havens hospice, overlooking beautiful Priory Park in Southend, we have an opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to join our expanding physiotherapy interventions team within the community setting working in our Hub, IPU, and patients' own homes, utilising and promoting a rehabilitative palliative care approach.
Main duties of the job
To support patients and those important to them with a palliative life-limiting condition.
Managing a caseload, using evidence-based/patient-centred principles within physical and psychological medicine to maintain independence and promote wellbeing.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Assesses analyses and interprets complex facts or situations of patient conditions and family circumstances requiring analysis.
- Support and educate patient's families and carers and work in collaboration with the MDT at Fair Havens and within the wider community and hospital teams
- Prioritises workload along with support from senior members of the team and can take responsibility for own caseload
- Work to achieve our vision and values in respect of health and safety, inclusion, and the safeguarding of our people. Taking personal responsibility to comply with the principals/requirement
- To be responsible for conforming to the policies and procedures as set out in the staff handbook, including health & safety requirements and attending courses as directed
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy.
- Professional registration as recognised by HCPC.
Skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Good standard of IT skills, including using Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook and Excel.
- Experience of managing caseloads
- Experience in at least 2 discrete service areas, for example, physical health and rehabillitation.
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
