An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Team providing an efficient and high quality service.
We currently have a full time, fixed term position for a Digital Development and Innovation Integration Engineer to be part of unified EPR digital transformation programme. We have a large scale transformation program working with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and our Community and mental health partners, Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trusts.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a skilled, motivated and highly organised individual for this role. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required at all times.
Supporting and delivering as a senior engineer the consolidation and migration of existing and new integration solutions to a data centre and hybrid cloud solution.
The post involves the development, maintenance and support of the interfaces associated with these clinical applications and working with the incumbent integration team members during this process.
Analyse, capture and document user and business requirements, in both a technical and non-technical format for clinical and digital services consumers.
Knowledge of HL7 and integration support within an NHS setting is a key requirement though further localised support will be provided.
The team consists of 4 integration skill levels, an Integration Architect , Integration Engineer, Integration Analyst and and Integration Developer that you will work with directly as well as a small team of software developers.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Digital Development and Innovation Integration Engineer will play a key role in the implementation and ongoing support of a unified Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme across two NHS Trusts. The post holder will perform a role within the Development and Innovation Team, delivering services based within the Trust Integration Engine (TIE) via HL7, FHIR and databases sources.

Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters level with appropriate qualification or have substantial relevant experience in an integration architecture role
Desirable criteria
- Integration Engine Accreditation or Experience
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM)
