EPUT was formed on 1 April 2017 following the merger of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (NEP) and South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT). A new leadership team was established at the Trust in 2020.

Fixed Term Until April 2025
Here is an opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to extend and develop their skills in leading and managing a small clinical team of Occupational Therapists delivering interventions to those managing their mental health within the Primary Care provision.
This is a fixed term period role covering maternity leave (secondment can be considered subject to appropriate levels of agreement) based within South East Essex. The role requires the practitioner to undertake both direct clinical interventions and management responsibilities within the service.

The postholder will work integratively with the wider community sector to enable a provision of wrap around support to both those stepping down from secondary mental health services and those within primary care provision, co-ordinating brief focussed interventions within the team in liaison with other primary care providers.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

The post-holder will maintain an overview of the service delivery, triaging referrals, undertaking assessments and delivering time limited brief interventions to adults with mental health needs managed within primary care provision.
The post holder will manage and lead the clinical team, providing supervision and guidance to team members and guidance to the wider MDT.
