An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a part-time Admin Coordinator to support the Children’s School Aged Immunisation Service based across South Essex. Based at Sankey House, Pitsea.
This post is for 4 days a week. This is a Maternity Cover so therefore a 12 month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with excellent communication, leadership, management and organisational skills, To be proactive with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
The post holder will work closely with the other Admin Coordinator in North Essex and will contribute in the management and supervision of all Administration staff to include recruitment, attendance and performance monitoring and management.
We are looking for individuals with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in the organisation, providing services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner.
Your role will include regular weekly travel to Leigh on Sea and Thurrock.
You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible with a flexible approach to work. This is an excellent career development opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to pursue an administrative lead career in the NHS.

To coordinate the South administration teams, including processes that relate to service delivery.
Answering and dealing with client / patient telephone enquiries in a confidential and helpful manner, using tact and diplomacy at all times and channelling enquiries, as appropriate to staff members (clinical and non-clinical).
As a member of the administrative team, to work in support of colleagues within the school aged immunisation service as well as the administration service, providing cover in their absence (across all sites) if required to do so.
To ensure that general office duties are carried out, including the systematic filing of all general correspondence and patient documentation, photocopying and use of e-mail, under the direction of the Administration Manager.
To deputise for the Administration Manager as and when required
Provide in-house training and support to new colleagues within the department.
To be responsible for the day to day management and supervision of the administration officers including authorising, sickness / annual / study leave, completion of positive returns and undertaking supervision and appraisals.
To work in conjunction with the Administration Manager to deal with any disciplinary / grievance issues.
To undertake the allocation / prioritisation of daily workloads of the Administration Officers and organisation of rota systems to ensure effective operation of offices .

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
