Are you a Qualified in speciality Neonatal Nurse with experience of working within a neonatal environment, who is looking for a new and exciting challenge with the opportunity to enhance your leadership, management and professional development? For this role you will need to:
- Have current NMC registration and post registration experience
- Work as a skilled member of a nursing team.
- Assist in the provision of high standards of holistic family-centred care to neonates and their families.
- Assist in the creation of a welcoming, caring and safe environment for neonates and their families.
- Undertake management of Unit under supervision of senior staff
- Work in partnership with the medical staff and multidisciplinary team.
- Provide and develop evidence based care within the Unit
Experience of working in a neonatal Environment is essential.
Main duties of the job
Providing effective, individual nursing care for the neonate
Assessing the neonate’s physical, psychological and social problems and need for nursing assistance.
Acting as a role model for the newly qualified nurses.
Supervising the preparation and updating of the nursing care plans including treatment delegated by the medical staff
Integrating care and treatments from other disciplines into care plans.
Giving skilled nursing care and treatments underpinned by current research
Planning the involvement of the neonates’ family, teaching and supervising techniques in preparation for the transfer home.
Teaching parents how to maintain health at home and develop parenting skills
