An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Receptionist to join our dynamic team in the Pre-Operative Assessment Unit at Colchester Hospital.

Our nurse led team deliver pre-operative assessment to patients who will be undergoing a range of procedures within the specialties of Urology, General Surgery, Upper GI, ENT, Vascular, Oral, Gynaecology ,Orthopaedic  and Breast surgery. This position will work closely in supporting the clinical team

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support to Pre-Assessment
  • Ensuring Pre-Assessment reception is well covered, and all internal and external visitors are greeted into the department professionally and according to Trust standards 
  • Accurately record data onto departmental reports and internal databases

  • At least 1-year previous experience as an administrator
  • Understand requirements of strict confidentiality.
  • IT skills – Microsoft packages including Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Knowledge/Experience of Portal system
  • Knowledge/Experience of GI Reporting tool

Qualifications
