Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for you to join our team on Birch Ward at Colchester Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated registered nurse with a strong commitment to nursing patients in care of the elderly.
If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership skills, this is the role for you.
You will be a key member of the ward nursing team to ensure high quality care is delivered and will be part of a multi-professional team.
You will be required to work across the Trust to help facilitate patient flow and achieve the standards set within the National Clinical guidelines.
Main duties of the job
With the guidance of the ward sister, you will be responsible for providing leadership and teaching within the unit. You will use your knowledge and education to enable your colleagues to deliver high quality, individualised care to your patients. You will also provide support and supervision to nursing staff and effectively deploy resources within the unit.
You must be patient focused, flexible, adaptable and capable of thinking laterally.
