Job overview
Exciting opportunities have arisen for highly motivated, experienced administrators to join the Endoscopy booking team as an Endoscopy Booking Clerk at Colchester Hospital.
In this role you will be contacting patients via the phone, directly to book patients for their endoscopy procedures to assist diagnosis via our 18 week, urgent and 2 week wait pathways.
This role would be worked on a rota shift basis. Hours are between 08:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday and Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. This may be subject to change upon needs of the service.
Full Time and Part Time opportunities are available. Internal candidates will be offered a Secondment.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for booking patients in line with the Trust 'Patient Access Policy' and ensuring that all patients are allocated to an appropriate endoscopy list and procedures are carried out as soon as possible.
You will need to be fully computer literate in all Microsoft applications and ideally have recent administrative experience. You will also need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
