Job overview
We are looking for a resilient, enthusiastic, motivated and proactively driven individual to fulfil the role of Rota Coordinator within our Women & Children’s Division.
You will be required to provide an excellent administrative service to the Operational and Medical teams within our Women’s Services and Paediatric Services. Acting as the first point of contact for any medical staffing enquiries within the department you will have the responsibility for the provision of a safely staffed medical team.
Main duties of the job
The post will entail creating and maintaining complex medical rotas, sourcing locum medical staff to within budgetary limits, processing medical leave and sickness records for in excess of 60 medical staff, organisation of regular junior doctor rotations and a variety of other tasks required to provide the department with an efficient medical staffing service.

- • Previous rostering experience
- • Previous experience of HR/Payroll processes and procedures.
- • Experience of working with different professional groups

- • Previous experience of working in an NHS environment.
Qualifications

- • GCSE/NVQ3 or equivalent
- • Knowledge or experience to Diploma level

- • Knowledge of staff rostering
- • Experience in using, creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets
Desirable criteria
- • Knowledge of medical staffing, in particular the requirements of the new Junior Doctor Contract
