Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Practitioner to join the UTC Team, to work as part of the Urgent Treatment Centre team to support the care and treatment of patients attending the service with a range of urgent presentations

1 x Permanent - 22.5 hours

1 x  Fixed Term/Secondment until 30th April 2025 -   30 hours

You  will be required to carry out a wide range of duties to support the team in the delivery of a high quality care. The emphasis for your work is to work under the guidance and supervision of a qualified practitioner in support of nursing care and treatment plans.

 

Main duties of the job

You will carry out designated tasks working under the supervision of the registered clinicians

You will empower patients to make decisions about their own care and encourage them to exercise their rights and choices, signposting them to relevant community support and escalating any risks to registered clinicians.

Essential criteria
  • Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal, short courses, in house training and experience to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Other Relevant training
