Job overview
We are looking for Physiotherapists with experience working in an MSK setting, who have significant knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of MSK conditions.
You will be a strong team player with excellent communication and health coaching skills. You will be involved in the delivery and development of pathways and will support the development of junior staff and students.
You will embrace innovation and integrated working and will be committed to following best practice to ensure patient centred care.
You will be willing to travel across North East Essex to meet the needs of the service.
You will be actively involved in service development and will need to work on your own initiative as well as being responsible for the development of junior staff.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the integrated team to deliver therapeutic input to patients in a clinic setting with the aim of returning them to maximum independent living, within a stimulating environment actively promoting self-management on all activities of daily living.
Working as an autonomous practitioner, the post holder will provide specialist input to all patients that fall within their specialist field of expertise
Work with colleagues across health, social care, mental health and voluntary sector to ensure holistic and joined up delivery of care.
Empower patients to make decisions about their own care and encourage them to exercise their rights and choices, signposting them to relevant community and voluntary services and supporting patient’s carers and assistants with management of risk.
Manage the work of junior staff, assistants, students and volunteers in own professional area

- • Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses and experience to degree level of equivalent

Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of assessments relevant to the specialist care group and the relative benefits of each.
- • Good knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group including the relative benefits of each and the comparative outcomes.
