Job overview

Here is an exciting opportunity for your to join out Pharmacy team as a Lead Pharmacist - Biologics and Homecare (Medicines Value), suitable for band 7 to 8a progression.

 You will Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services and advice to a specified clinical speciality(s), demonstrating a high level of clinical effectiveness. You will also manage and develop the delivery of medicines across the Mid and South Esses hospitals  through homecare services in accordance with current regulatory and national standard.

You will lead and develop a high-quality pharmacy service to patients across the Mid and South Essex Hospitals requiring high cost drugs, and ensuring the trust gains the best value from medicines.

Main duties of the job

  • Duties are to be undertaken in accordance with departmental SOPs. Professional actions are to be governed by current professional, clinical, and legal guidelines and in line with best practice. The post holder will adhere to the principles of the NHS Constitution
  • Take part in the provision of general clinical, dispensary and pharmacy on call services
