Procurement Systems Manager

Band 4

Job overview

The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single procurement function which will help support the sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services. A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.

You will work as a Systems Manager across all Partner Trusts supporting the implementation of a one single procurement system across all three trusts and managing these systems on an ongoing basis to ensure data integrity. As a credible data management professional you will provide advice and guidance to buyers and suppliers to ensure the systems are always up to date.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

You will ensure IM&T information is processed in accordance with policies and procedures and investigate enquiries and queries from stakeholders, providing assistance and advice as required. You will need to adapt the system software, information reports, maintain and interpret datasets to support the analysis of spend data. Will provide training to Procurement and non-procurement colleagues across the Trust to ensure systems are being used correctly.

You will manage the performance of Systems Support staff and will actively support them in meeting their own development needs and aspirations.

Working for our organisation

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
