Clinical Lead Pelvic Health Physiotherapist .

Part- Time  0.6wte      22.5 hrs per week 

 Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking a Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapist  to join our diverse team of allied health professionals.

The post holder will work within the pelvic health service including outpatients and inpatients settings.

The post holder will work alongside the specialist  pelvic health physiotherapist and clinical lead physiotherapists    to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the therapy service provided to patients referred to the pelvic health team .  As a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist , you will have advanced levels of clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of pelvic health conditions. 

 You will  take responsibility for the operational clinical leadership and overall professional and organisational development of the pelvic health  therapy team along with your colleagues . A high regard for clinical operations and governance, assuring high standards of patient centred care is required.  

We are seeking people who can adapt to changing environment and work well in a team. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and build social networks working in partnership with other agencies to identify and address the immediate need

Main duties of the job

To undertake the planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating of the pelvic health therapy service in partnership with other clinical lead physiotherapists  and specialist pelvic health physiotherapist. .

The post holder will be able to demonstrate specialist clinical skills, leadership and service development experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Support will be provided to enhance operational management skills and the post holder will contribute to service planning, development and teaching. As a Clinical Lead, the post holder will be a role model for their team and pride themselves on delivering high quality care and motivate their team to do the same.

Essential criteria
  • Degree in physiotherapy or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • accredited student educator
Desirable criteria
  • Post grad training / Qualification in relevant topics
  • Post graduate qualification / experience in leadership

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Ability to demonstrate significant consolidated clinical experience at senior level in acute specialities
  • • Able to work alone and as part of a team
  • • Ability to demonstrate clinical experience in specialist setting

Skills , knowledge and ability

Essential criteria
  • Must possess advanced verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage highly complex caseload
  • Ability to analyse, select and apply appropriate physiotherapy interventions from a range of modalities
  • Evidence of improvements in practice
  • Ability to monitor and manage the performance of staff within the team
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in running or involvement in clinical or service audit
  • Member of relevant CSP special interest group or equivalent
