Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a digital project manager role.  Do you have experience of managing the delivery of digital solutions within the NHS?  We have an exciting opportunity for a project manager to lead the delivery of digital projects across our two Trusts.  Working within the PMO, engaging with suppliers, and with stakeholders at all levels, the post holder will be supporting the delivery of the Trusts’ objectives and Digital Strategy.

 The post will be based across Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Goole and associated community teams.  We offer hybrid working with some time working onsite and some time working from home.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include, but are not limited to

 Delivering projects including the the management of the specification, development, procurement, implemententation and transition to business as usual support, of key clinical and non-clinical systems.

  • Ensuring that all projects within the post-holders remit are managed and monitored in accordance with the Trusts’ project governance processes and principles, and are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed specification, scope and quality, to achieve the anticipated benefits.
  • Taking remediating action where there are variances in project delivery against plan and scope.
  • Producing consistent and accurate project reporting, detailed project plans, managing issues and risks, escalating as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria
  • Qualified PRINCE 2 Foundation
Desirable criteria
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner
  • Evidence of academic achievement, preferably to degree level or equivalent related subject

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • 2 years experience managing Projects or working within an NHS Project Management Environment
  • Evidence of achievements in a complex environment, including a successful track record of delivering against targets
  • Evidence of successful Project Management experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in a relevant health care setting
  • Using and implementing Hospital Patient Administration and/or Clinical Systems
  • Experience of working with clinical teams
  • Experience of using benefits and change processes
