We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated band 5 nurses to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. Within the area patients undergo a wide variety of cardiac procedures. The Cardiac cath labs and day ward is a unique area to work with 4 state-of-the-art cath labs and 15 beds/Radial lounge on the day ward. The cath lab and day ward nursing team strive to provide each and every patient with the best care possible in a safe and welcoming environment. Candidates will need to demonstrate a passion for high quality, patient centred care and a commitment to developing the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver it.

The supernumerary period is generous and is tailored to meet individual needs. We are keen to help support and develop nurses interested in experiencing this exciting and changeable environment. Main duties of the job

You will be caring for a range of patients undergoing a wide range of cardiology procedures including Coronary Angiography/Intervention, Pacemaker/ICD implantation, Electrophysiology Studies/Ablations and Structural Heart (Trans-Aortic Valve Implantation). We also perform cardiac physiologist and nurse-led cardioversions and nurse-led discharge. The day ward area you will be trained in the management of a caseload of patients pre and post procedures. In the lab you will be trained in a circulating and scrub capacity for a variety of procedures.
