Administrator

Band 2

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical Administration Service within the Acute Secretarial Department

To work at the Hull Royal Infirmary site, we are looking for enthusiastic people with previous customer service experience who can communicate at all levels, work flexibly and are able to organise and prioritise their workload.  Good communication skills are essential as you will be dealing with members of the public.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

At Hull University Teaching Hospitals our staff are the most valuable resource we have and we are committed to creating a happy and healthy workforce who feel engaged, energised and fulfilled at work.

We’re looking for REMARKABLE PEOPLE to work in this EXTRAORDINARY PLACE.

The work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, adaptability and the ability to prioritise competing workloads. As an Administrator you will be involved in the end to end patient pathway providing administrative support to our clinicians.

Other duties may include typing clinical correspondence and tracking patients through their treatment pathway.

The successful candidates will join a friendly and supportive team within the Acute Secretaries team that values the contribution of all staff.

Should you wish to discuss our Administrator positions further, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Although previous administration experience is desirable, we are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion to work in a health care setting, those with a 'can do' attitude and importantly due to the nature of the work, people who have a flexible approach to working. Excellent customer service skills is a must!

The successful candidates will join a friendly and supportive team that values the contribution of all staff.

Working for our organisation

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
