Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic Cooks to join the team at Holy Name care Home. To be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for up to 64 patients with varying dietary requirements, and take pride in the cleanliness of the kitchen, working as part of the Primary Care Healthcare Team.

Working hours are 7:00am -3:00pm and 10:00am -6:00pm over a 7-day period including bank holidays.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Production/Nutrition or equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience
  • Valid level 3 food hygiene or equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe working practices
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at work act and requirements
  • Knowledge of CHCP and their mission statement
  • Knowledge of advanced food hygiene processes
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen and a health and care setting
  • Experience of maintaining records
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working with the general public
