At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.

In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

 We are looking for an associate cardiac physiologist to support our Cardiac Physiology Team. Based at the Conquest Hospital and the Bexhil Community Diagnostic Centre.  You will analyse 24-hour ECG recordings, ECG Event recordings and remote ECG recordings. You will perform ECGs, fit 24-hour ECG and blood pressure monitors and instruct patients on the use of remote pacemaker systems. You will provide support to remote pacemaker patients and help manage the remote pacemaker reporting system. Training for all these roles with be provided. Main duties of the job

The role will support the Cardiac Physiology team with their ECG and pacemaker analysis service.

You will perform ECGs, fit 24-hour ECG monitors and Blood Pressure monitors. You will provide pacemaker home monitoring equipment to patients, explaining their use. You will provide routine support by phone to patient with these monitors.

You will analyse pacemaker home monitoring reports and 24-hour ECG recordings, providing a first-pass analysis and report.

You will support the Pacing team with patient administrative tasks

Training will be provided for all the above responsibilities. We will encourage the post-holder to achieve a certificate in ECG proficiency. We encourage and support learning and career development for our staff that wish to progress.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Satisfactory General Education and evidence of additional training relevant to role.
  • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 3 Qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience

Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a health care or similar setting
  • Previous experience or working as part of a team
Desirable criteria
  • 3 months (within the last two years) experience of working in NHS
